Review of You Can Build a Chicken Tractor: Step-by-Step Instructions For Beginners, Experts and Everyone In Between (Paperback)

I got "You Can Build a Chicken Tractor..." because I was looking for chicken tractor plans. This book has some of the most detailed step by step plans for building a chicken tractor I have seen.Coming from a 'non-construction' background, I was pretty happy with the detail they gave for building a chicken tractor. The instructions were easy to follow, and EVEN I was able to make a chicken tractor with these instructions.(Not bad for someone who "drive" is something in a computer, not something you do with nails.)

I am only giving three stars because I felt like the book had too much information about other things "chicken related". For example, the book talks about things like, getting chickens for the first time, chicken nutrition, eating and cooking eggs (including recipes), how to deal with chicken healthcare issues, how to make money with chickens, and a lot more similar topics.

All of these topics are good topics for people to know about when dealing with chickens, and the information was all good information. My complaint, though, is that I really got the book looking for information about chicken tractors. All of the extra information was, for me, just that...extra information that I wasn't looking for.If you want the extra information, this book would probably be great for you.If I was looking for those topics to be covered, I would probably have given this book a 4 or 5 star rating.

As my rating stands, I am giving 'Chicken Tractor' a "half-full" rating. The book is totally full, and over flowing, but "half-full" is all I was looking for.

Review of Alternate And Unusual Remedies: Unconventional Medicine For The Conventional Man (Paperback)

This book lets the reader understand how the medical community is spending more time looking for the cure of diseases than helping treat the symptoms associated with that disease.
It's a new look of how we can treat the syptoms ourselves and elivate some of the pain, suffering, and stress associated with our ailments. The book explains music therapy, faith healing, art therapy, support groups and alternative medicines.
All in all this book is easy to read as it's written to reach the audience of the patient and not the doctor.
The mind and body work together so if you have control over the mind, the body is half way there. 5 stars from me!
