Review of Ecstatic Living/Ecstatic Loving: A Christian marriage manual & life-guide (Paperback)

I found the book both interesting and informative. The boldness also added to the book's value. Even us conservative Christians can step out side the box and learn from the author's life experiences. It is a good read.

Product Description
Wife of 20 yrs., and contributing writer for The Gospel Communications Network, Melanie Schurr invites the reader in to an intimate journey of her own growth & renewal as a woman who past struggled with man's ways VS God's ways. The author speaks honestly about the mistakes of the past, and how, through God and His divine wisdom, she was able to not just over-come, but reign victorious and use these life experiences to help others. Schurr then artfully takes the reader in to the doors of her own two-decade long marriage, sharing what she believes are necessary keys in to raising marriage AND one's very life to the bountiful feast God intends each to be. Melanie Schurr dares to dig deep in to issues that many Christian's are fearful to discuss, turning on a bright light and offering practical advice from a female perspective on such issues as oral sex, sexual frequency, techniques you may have never considered, and adding increased levels of passion and intimacy to marriage.Schurr's writing style is open, down-to-earth and friendly. You will set this book down eager to apply her advice to every corner of your life.

Ecstatic Living/Ecstatic Loving is a must-read for any Christian couple going through a hard time making marriage work, but can be enjoyed by any adult who seeks God's peace, joy and wisdom. Due to certain subject matters, this book is not intended for children.

From the Author
"I share life's most private moments with readers, to show them that if I can over-come, so can you. I have no shame in the testimony of my past, because that is who I was, and not who I am today. No life crisis is too large for God.Not only can we be new creations through Him, but applying His wisdom and godly principles to our marriage, dealings with our children, and every facet of our life, has the ability to transform marriages, heal relationships, and bring a clear sense of meaning, purpose, peace and joy to our lives.Life should be enjoyed! Let's do what we need to do so that we CAN partake of this big, beautiful feast!"

-Melanie Schurr

Review of Your Home a Place of Grace (Paperback)

We are using it for a study in my women's SS class. It is such an awesome book that I've ordered the authors other books! I received the book promptly and it was in great shape. I was very pleased and I'm very fussy about the condition of used items. This was a great buy!

Product Description

You have everything you need to make your home a haven of grace. God's presence brings peace to your home and empowers you to reflect His goodness. Beyond Himself, God has given you the church so that your home can be all it should be. In God's definition, the church is part of your family--so whether you're married or widowed, a parent or single, you have an extended family. You have grandparents in the faith who can share with you what they have learned about living in a relationship with God and others, and whose words and example will show you how to raise the next faith generation.

Susan Hunt is a spiritual grandmother to many. Using her experience and knowledge, along with that of other "grandparents," she shares how you can create a home of grace. Though Your Home brims with practical applications, it is not a how-to book. It is more about who God is than what we do. It is more about God's grace than our game plans. It is about God working in and through you to make your home a sanctuary of His design.

"Susan Hunt has done it again, challenging you to think biblically about your family and change it for good." --Dennis Rainey, Executive Director, Family Life

"Here is a vision of home where God is exalted, families are strengthened, and the Kingdom is expanded--all by following God's ancient paths of truth and grace." --Bruce Ware, President, Council of Biblical Manhood and Womanhood

"Susan Hunt drapes the wide expanse of God's mercy over the shoulders of parents bowed by the knowledge of their imperfection, challenged by their children's uniqueness, and frightened of the world's uncertainty." --Bryan Chapell, President, Covenant Theological Seminary
