Review of The New Guide to Remedies (Hardcover)

This is a tiny, great quick reference book. It briefly explains homeopathy, essential oils, crystals and home remedies (which are not homeopathic remedies - there's a big difference!). For homeopathy users, there's a brief section on constitutional types that considers Argentum nitricum, Arsenicum album, Calc carb, Graphites, Ignatia, Lachesis, Lycopodium, Merc sol, Nat mur, Nux vomica, Phosphorus, Pulsatilla, Sepia, Silica and Sulphur. Then comes a section on various main remedies and their derivations, uses, and tips, with some having the icon showing the remedy is useful for your first-aid kit.
The next section on essential oils is set out the same way - a brief explanation of oils, safety guidelines, and ways to use oils. Then comes the individual oils' descriptions, reasons to use, and suggested blends. They are divided into root oils, wood oils, resin oils, leaf oils, flower oils, berry & seed oils, and fruit oils. Great for learning about how to use essential oils for your family's health.
From just these two sections, you can see what an information-packed little book this is. You may have to pull out your magnifying glass, as the writing is very small -- that's how they were able to include so much into it! I'm really glad I found it.
